The Top Three healthy Non Toxic Cookware Sets

With all of the bad publicity that Teflon and aluminum cookware has received, many of us are searching for healthy non toxic cookware. It doesn't make any sense to purchase healthy whole foods and then cook them in toxic pots and pans.

Although stainless steel cookware has been carefully a safe alternative, it does have one drawback. Stainless steel cookware is made with a blend of stainless steel, chromium and nickel. None of these are harmful in small doses, but many people are allergic to nickel. If you are allergic to nickel, you should refrain from using stainless steel cookware.

Another concern that many people are not aware of is that some glazes used on crock pots have small estimate of lead. The advice is to use terra cotta crock pots without the lead glaze.

Calphalon is the prominent maker but many other fellowships are now producing cookware sets made with the hard anodized aluminum. Calphalon cookware cooks evenly on lower heat and is stick-resistant. They have stainless steel handles which will stay cool while stovetop cooking. The pans and lids can be used in the oven and broiler.

Cuisinart has introduced a line of non-stick cookware called Cuisinart Green gastronome Hard Anodized Cookware. They work just like the Teflon cookware, except they don't emit any of the toxic fumes that Teflon pans do. Just like the Teflon pans, they allow you to cook with less oil and they are also energy sufficient and eco-friendly. This Green gastronome cookware set is oven and broiler safe.

KitchenAid has their own set of non-stick anodized aluminum cookware called KitchenAid gastronome Essentials. This cookware set features stainless steel handles coated with silicone grips. The lids are break defiant glass which makes it nice to see what you are cooking. These pots and pans are oven safe up to 400 degrees.

All three of these fellowships cookware sets are extremely recommended healthy non toxic sets. I use the Kitchen Aid gastronome Essentials cookware in my kitchen. It is the best value out of the three.

Filipino Recipes - Estofado recipe (Beef) - Pinoy Food

Estofado is a special beef method that you cannot find during quarterly days because of the amount of establishment required. It is regularly ready during fiestas and special occasions like weddings, birthdays and reunions that are held during the summer months when school is out. Because the beef is cooked to a chewy tenderness, it is loved by both the kiddies and the oldies. Even if there are a lot of dishes set on the table during special occasions, you will genuinely find the estofado being the first to disappear because it is so tasty thus manufacture it too hard to resist.

Ingredients:

Cooking Pan Sets

  • 1 kilo boneless beef
  • 2 cups Baguio beans (cut into suitable lengths)
  • 2 small carrots (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 onions (chopped finely)
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic (pounded)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 small onions (peeled but whole)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • cooking oil
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Cooking Procedure:

  • Rub the beef with flour. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Fry in cooking oil until color turns brown then set aside.
  • Using the remaining oil, sauté the garlic until it turns brown then add the onions and tomatoes. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the meat in a pan and cover with tomato mixture, bay leaf, vinegar and a small amount of water just sufficient to cover the meat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover the pan and bring to a boil. Add the 6 peeled whole onions, beans and carrots then allow to simmer.
  • Take out from the pan when the vegetables are cooked. Arrange the beef in a serving platter and surround with the vegetables.
  • Simmer down the sauce to desired quantity and thicken with flour. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables then serve.
